Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The Government intends to issue a sole source purchase order for a 64/32-bit PGI Server Complete for Linux license and one year maintenance subscription to The Portland Group Inc, Two Centerpointe Drive, suite 320, Lake Oswego, Oregon 97035. The compiler software is necessary for AFCCC/SM to satisfy mission requirements. The 55th Contracting Squadron intends to award a purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with Subpart 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement was made because The Portland Group Inc is the manufacturer and only distributor of the 64/32-bit PGI Server Complete for Linux compiler. This compiler is the only one compatible with the existing Environmental Scenario Generator system at AFCCC. The procurement of the compiler must be completed in a timely manner in order to meet mission requirements.
