The Department of State has a requirement to procure through competitive quotes opennet connectivity equipment to link the Department in Washington with overseas posts. Federal Acquisition Regulations Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items will be utilized. A Firm-Fixed Price contract is anticipated. This RFQ is 100% Small Business set-aside. The items to be procured are the following: One Security Gateway with VPN quantity 2 with 12 months of premium support, Quad Port Ethernet Card, copper quantity 12 with 12 months of basic support and 48-10/100BTX & 2 GBIC Ports quantity 4. All items must be delivered by June 2, 2004, no exceptions. If you cannot deliver within that timeframe, do not bid. FOB Destination shall be Washington, DC 20520. We anticipate award for this purchase order to be on June 1, 2004 at 10:00 am. The government plans to award a commercial item purchase order to the bidder with the most advantageous bid to the government based on both price and delivery capability.
