The Office of Acquisition Operations (OAO), Strategic Acquisition Center (SAC) is seeking responsible sources to meet the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration (VHA) requirement for Healthcare Furniture. Federal Supply Schedule holders, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, HUB-Zone Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, and Women-Owned Small Business, and Small Businesses are encouraged to respond. This is a Request for Information (RFI), as defined in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e). Any information submitted by respondents to this request is strictly voluntary. This is not a request for proposal, request for quotation, or invitation for bid, nor does its issuance obligate or restrict the Government to an eventual acquisition approach. This RFI is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources relative to provision of agency-wide healthcare furniture (to potentially include: manufacture, delivery, installation, interior design, consulting, and other services) to furnish VHA's 153 hospitals, 770+ community based out-patient clinics, and 260 Veteran Centers to accommodate patients, their families, caregivers and visitors. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of responses from this RFI or pay for the preparation of any information submitted or for the use of such information. All information received from this RFI will be used for planning and market research purposes only. Responses to this RFI must be submitted utilizing the online survey available at this link: www.mcix.com/VAMED . This survey should take no more than 20 minutes to complete. Data collected will become the property of the VHA to provide a better understanding of businesses capable of providing VHA agency-wide medical furniture and related services and will not be shared with any entity outside of the VA. Please refer to the attachments for additional information. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Any response submitted by respondents to this request constitutes consent for that submission to be reviewed by the Strategic Acquisition Center. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to provide feedback with respect to any information submitted. Please note that this RFI is exclusively survey-based, written or telephone responses will not be considered. Responses to the survey must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. EDT July 18, 2014.
