THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. In preparation for a future procurement, the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas is performing market research to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (service disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, hub zone, 8(a), small disadvantage business, woman-owned, small business, or large business) relative to NAICS 337110(size standard500 employees) that can offer same services or products listed below: GENERAL INTENTION Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, parts, equipment, tools, transportation, training, and supervision to install 28 nourishment stations at the Michael E DeBakey VA Medical Center, 2002 Holcombe Blvd. Houston TX 77024. The Contractor shall provide all necessary training to the designated VA employees on how to use the installed products after the installation and setup were complete. The contract price shall be firm-fixed, all inclusive not limited to specified products/equipment, installation, setup/configuration, and training on how to use the installed products/equipment. CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS 1. Installation a. Contractor will remove existing nourishment stations, terminating all plumbing and electrical as required by industry standards b. Contractor will move nourishment stations to a location specified by the COR on the campus of MEDVAMC c. Contractor will install new nourishment stations according to manufacturer's specifications d. Contractor will coordinate with nursing staff such that there is no impact to patient care over the course of the project. This includes all water and electrical shutdowns that are necessary. e. Contractor will comply with all VA infection control standards. 2. Warranty. Contractor will guarantee all installation work for 30 days following the VA acceptance of the nourishment station last installed. Contractor's will comply with manufacturer's installation instructions such that installation will not void the manufacturer's warranty for the equipment. 3. Existing Infrastructure. Contractor should assume that equipment will be installed with all new infrastructures (downstream plumbing, electrical outlets, etc). However, contractor may use existing infrastructure such as cables, breaker boxes, and outlets with the permission of MEDVAMC. 4. MEDVAMC Policy Compliance. Contractor must comply with all MEDVAMC equipment and construction policies including, but not limited to, infection control requirements, interim life safety measures, and security and identification. Contractor will coordinate with MEDVAMC staff on the most appropriate time and place to perform any installation to the convenience of the medical center. 5. End User Instruction and Training. Contractor shall provide on-site training to designated VA employees on how to use all the aforementioned systems. Contractor shall coordinate with the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative for the schedule of this training. Training shall consist of proper use of the system, management of the system and maintenance of equipment. Following training, contractor must receive a signature of acceptance for all installation and training from MEDVAMC Chief of Anesthesia. 6. Delivery Schedule. Contractor shall finish all works of installation, configuration, and setup within 30 days after receiving Notice to Proceed from the Contracting Officer. Nourishment stations must be installed as they are received by MEDVAMC such that no more than 5 nourishment stations are stored at MEDVAMC for more than 24 hours at any time during the duration of the contract. Interested companies should submit an electronic statement outlining their company's capability and capacity to provide the product, the specifications of the product, and the delivery time to get the product to Houston, Texas. Also, firms should provide their business size status in accordance with the small business administration website (www.sba.gov) for the above referenced NAICS code they fall within (i.e. small businesses, 8(a) firms, HUBZones, small disabled veteran owned businesses, etc.) This Sources Sought is for informational purposes and all businesses able to provide this product are encouraged to submit information regardless of Business size. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement.
