The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food Safety Inspection Services (FSIS) is seeking sources capable of providing the agency with a stamp to be used to mark certificates for Export. The stamp needs to allow the user to change the numbering scheme each time it is used. The string of numbers used for this stamp is 6 characters. The head of the stamp must be at least a 2 x 2 inch square. These stamps will be used to stamp 1,500 or more boxes a month and must be durable in order to handle the required use of the stamps.

If you are a source capable of providing such a stamp please respond to this Sources Sought Synopsis with your company information, three sample stamps (the samples do not need to be tailored to USDA they can be the basic version of the stamp), and pricing information. This notice is not a request for proposals and the Government does not intend to pay for information submitted. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation of the stamp received. No contract award will be made on the basis of responses received; however, the information will be used in FSISââ¬â¢s assessment of capable sources. Responses should be submitted by 3pm November 13, 2003. Faxed responses are not permitted.
