The Naval Medical Logistics Command intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.5) with Elsevier Science, 11830 Westline Industrial Drive, St. Louis, MO 63146, as the only source that can provide electronic access to MD Consult. Specifically, the contractor shall provide one year enterprise site license access to the following MD Consult products: Core Collection (15 Sim. Users) Respiratory and Critical Care Collection (2 Sim. Users) Dental Choice Collection (2 Sim. Users) Trauma Management: An Emergency Medicine Approach, 2/e (2 Sim. Users) The Back Pain Revolution, 2/e (2 Sim. Users) Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine: Diseases of the Fetus and Infant, 7/e (2 Sim. Users) Vaccines, 4/e (2 Sim. Users) Stroke: Pathophysiology, Diagnosis, and Management, 4/e (2 Sim. Users) Current Therapy of Infectious Diseases, 2/e (2 Sim. Users) This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures (IAW FAR 13.5). There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 511120 with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice will need to submit technical data, including cost, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product. All capability statements received within 15 days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
