The purpose of this amendment is for Q&A:
Question 01 Is there currently a Contractor providing Preventative Maintenance
to the
existing equipment? a. If so, what is the name and contract dollar value of the
contract.
Answer 01 Gym Doctor is providing PM services through credit card purchases.
Question 02 In addition to Preventative Maintenance will there be any
Corrective
Maintenance required? a. If so, who orders the part, pays for the part, and
installs the
part?
Answer 02 Corrective maintenance to keep equipment operable would be consider
part of
the contact.
Question 03 Does the government require the contractor to troubleshoot, order,
and
repair fitness equipment that becomes inoperable between the regularly
scheduled
Preventative Maintenance Services? a. If so, will there be a separate CLIN
line item for
unscheduled services?
Answer 03 The ability to maintain the equipment in operational condition for
the Navy
fitness test is the primary drive for this services contract. Waiting for
repairs to be
completed around /during the preventative maintains inspection causes concerns
as the
equipment would not be ready for the Navy fitness test that is conducted
semiannually.
Question 04 Is the equipment listed in the solicitation obsolete and do you
desire the
updated versions?
Answer 04 Equipment listed is not to be replaced
Question 05 Is it 35 total pieces of equipment including the 15 we provide or
is it a total
of 50 pieces of equipment with the 15 items we provide being added to a current

1.0 Scope
Procure Fitness equipment and reoccurring maintains services. Vendor to order,
receive,
inspect and transport to SPAWAR Old Town Complex Building OT-27 with in 90 day
after
award of contract. Stage equipment and assemble in accordance with manufacture
instruction. Turn over all manuals and paper work, to the Contractor
Representative. All
trash and debris removed from area upon completion.
Vendor to perform regularly preventative and quarterly inspection on 35 items
of fitness
equipment to new include cardio equipment at government site to avert equipment
failure. Inspect, clean fitness center equipment and complete CDRL-001 for
each item
inspected. This includes but is not limited to cleaning chains and cleaning
alternator
brush dust, adjustment of belt tension, vacuuming, cleaning, inspecting,
testing, tighten
of hardware, crank arms, tracking of treadmill belts, wiping the inner shrouds
and
vacuuming beneath the machines. Equipment repair will be approved through
Contractor
