The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Joint Munitions & Lethality (JM&L) Contracting Center, Combat Ammunition Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a sole source effort to BWAY Corporation, 8607 Roberts Drive STE 250, Atlanta, GA 30350-2230. This acquisition is being conducted using simplified acquisition procedures; however, capable offerors may submit a capability statement with quotation, which shall be considered by the Government. The NAICS Code for this acquisition is 332999 - All Other Miscellaneous Fabricated Metal Product Manufacturing. The Government has a need to purchase 800 units of the PA120 Container for the Enhanced Portable Inductive Artillery Fuze Setter (EPIAFS) system. The PA120 Container is used for shipping sensitive electronic artillery fuze setters for the EPIAFS system to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. This container is the only approved pack, with a green coating that is corrosion resistant and durable for use by the military. Interested persons may identify their interest with a capability statement and proposal to respond to the requirement by COB March 10, 2010. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement will be based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government.
