The Combat Vehicle Crewman Helmet (CVC-H) is the primary head protection system for the mounted Soldier. The CVC-H consists of a hard ballistic helmet shell, integral communication system and inner helmet assembly. The current CVC-H Shell provides limited ballistic protection when compared against infantry based platforms such as the Advanced Combat Helmet (ACH).

The objective of this contract is to procure an ACVC-H that provides improved ballistic protection over the current CVC-H system at a lighter weight without affecting form, fit, and function as noted in AR/PD 12-03.
