The USPFO for Alabama is seeking interested small businesses to perform the following alterations:

1. Knowledge of and experience with altering / sewing Army uniforms in the listed regulations:
a. Army Regulation 670-1 (WEAR AND APPEARANCE OF ARMY UNIFORMS AND INSIGNIA dated 3 February 2005.
b. Basic Fitting Guide for Army Service Uniforms (ASU) Men / Women June 2010.
2. Travel to approximately 75 cities across Alabama to approximately 160 Alabama National Guard unit locations in the State to:
a. Measure, mark, properly fit and alter all or some of the below list IAW AR 670-1 and ASU fitting guide for approx 8500 soldiers: (7,100 male / 1400 female)
(1) Coat sleeve hemming
(2) Coat side / back alteration
(3) Coat Buttons relocated
(4) Trouser hemming (length) (male): 2 pair per male Soldier
(5) Slacks hemming (length) (female): 1 pair per female Soldier
(6) Skirt hemming (length) (female): 1 ea per female Soldier
(7) Waist alteration: 2 ea per male trousers, 2 ea per female trousers and skirt
(8) Seat alteration: 2 ea per male trousers and 1 ea per female slacks
b. Sew on each coat the below items that will be army furnished:
(1) Rank: 1 ea per coat sleeve
(2) Service stripes (1 continuous strip): when applicable
(3) Overseas stripes (1 continuous strip): when applicable
(4) Soutache Braid: 1 ea per coat sleeve
3. After all items for each unit have been completed, the altered uniforms will be returned to each unit's location in bulk by work order no later than 45 days after received by vendor.
