The USAF Academy intends to solicit proposals for a contract to manufacture Pajamas IAW USAFA PD 34 TRW/SDCU 187, dated 29 October 2002. This is a synopsis for a commercial item using commercial procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. Fabric for this requirement will meet the following standards: The fabric for the male pajamas shall be Batiste, fabric blend shall be 56% polyester and 35% cotton, color shall be light blue with trim in a darker blue color with white buttons. The fabric for the female pajamas shall be Batiste with a medium to heavy weight (between 6.0 ? 7.5 oz/sq yd), fabric blend shall be 65% polyester and 35% cotton, color shall be light blue with trim in a darker blue color with white buttons. The estimated quantities are 1860 pairs of male pajamas ranging from sizes Medium to XX-large and 468 pairs of female pajamas ranging from Small to Large. Delivery is FOB destination to USAF Academy CO. There will be a bid sample of the pajamas required with your proposal. The Request for Proposal will be available on or about 27 January 2003. The proposed solicitation is a 100% small business set aside. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded that will include a basic year commencing on or about 1 April 2003 with four (4) one-year options.
