The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) Veterinary Services (VS) intends to issue a sole source contract to the firm Fort Dodge Laboratories. The proposed contract action is for the procurement of eight million doses of Avian Influenza (AI) H5N3 killed virus vaccine. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1: Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The proposed contract will be a Firm Fixed Price per unit commercial supply contract. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
