The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS) is soliciting bids for the production of 4 subtypes of Avian Influenza Vaccine, Killed Virus, with equal doses to be produced for each subtype. The goal is to develop an avian influenza vaccine bank with 12 million total doses. The contract will be effective from date of award through September 30, 2004, with 4 one-year renewal options to extend the effective period. The same quantities are estimated for purchase in each of the option years. Phase 1 will consist of the production and storage of bulk killed antigen, and the evaluation of test serials produced for those antigens. Phase 2 will consist of the manufacture and shipment of finished final product. The Contractor will be responsible for finishing, bottling, labeling and shipping these antigens in final containers when authorized. F.O.B. Destination (locations will be determined).
