The Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS), Ames, Iowa is soliciting offers for the production of 4 subtypes of Avian Influenza Vaccine, Killed Virus, with equal doses to be produced for each subtype. The goal is to add an additional 30 million doses of vaccine to an already established Avian Influenza vaccine bank. Contract period is October 1, 2005 through September 30, 2006, with the 4 one-year renewal options to extend the effective period. Not to exceed five (5) years. Phase 1 will consist of the production and storage of bulk killed antigen, and the evaluation of test serials produced for those antigens. Phase 2 will consist of the manufacture and shipment of finished final product. The Contractor will be responsible for finishing bottling, labeling and shipping these antigens in final containers when authorized. F.O.B. Destination (locations to be determined). A single award is anticipated. This a firm fixed price, definite quantity contract. The solicitation, #48-M-APHIS-05, is to be affixed to all documents submitted in reference to this requirement. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Paper copies of the RFP and/or amendments will not be issued. The solicitation and the specifications will be made available electronically at this website only. All changes to the pre-solicitation notice, solicitation and any attachments shall be posted to the website at: www.FedBizOpps.gov. NOTIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE SENT TO OFFEROR REGARDING THE ISSUANCE OF THE SOLICITATION NOR ANY OF ITS AMENDMENTS. IT IS THE OFFEROR’S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THIS WEB SITE PERDIOCIALLY FOR UPDATES.
