NA The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity intends to purchase research naive, Indian-Origin Rhesus Macaques. Animals supplied for research must be naive, healthy and free of B-virus, SRV, STLV, and SIV. Alternative proposals for virus requireme nts may be considered, but they are not preferred. The non-human primates will be used for approved medical research programs for the Department of Defense. This will be an open and continuous solicitation for a 12-month period resulting in Firm Fixed Pr iced type contracts for delivery of research animals. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which may be considered by the agency. The solicitation shall be made available to interested parties through the website www.usamraa.army.mil. Instruct ions will be given within the RFP to respond to the solicitation electronically. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12, see Numbered Note 26.
