The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award on a sole source basis a Purchase Order to Primate Products, Inc., Woodside, California. This purchase will provide quarantine for imported nonhuman Aotus Monkeys. Primate Products is the only nonhuman primate quarantine station cleared by CDC for importing nonhuman primates into the U.S., and the only Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) authorized quarantine station. The Primate Research Center, Woodside, California is uniquely qualified and capable of carrying out the requirements of this proposed purchase order. The anticipated award date isDecember 12, 2005. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide this requirement are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification, as well as, a capability statement to the contracting office by 1:00 p.m., December 8, 2005. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed actions based on responses to this notice is solely within its discretion. Information will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
