UNICOR intends to enter into a five (5) year firm fixed price requirements type contract for Expanded Metal for Coleman Systems Furniture. Solicitation number is FN1263-07 and this solicitation is issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP). Expanded steel ?? 20 gauge, flattened bonded edges, various lengths and widths. Must have light oil to no oil. Diamonds to be free from burrs and rough edges. Material: is 20 gauge rolled steel, drawing quality, ANSI 1008, B55 Max Rockwell. Pattern: Short Way diamond 0.530 gauge (+/-.060) inch, Long Way Diamond 1.200 (+/-.060) inch, StrandThickness 0.70 (+/-.003) inch, Thickness 0.030 (+/-.003) inch, Weight/SQ Feet 0.345 (+/-.015) pounds. Level: Must be level withing 3/8 inch when placed on a flat surface, same tolerance applies when turned over. No oil canning is acceptable. Tolerance: Long way dimension (+/-.12), Short way dimension (+/-.25_, Bond Edge: all four sides must have bond edge (closed diamonds). Squareness: Must fall within the zone defined by the length and width tolerances. Various widths and lengths will be given in dolicitation along with estimated quantities. Delivery date requested 21 days after receipt of each delivery order. The minimum delivery order quantity 250 and maximum delivery order quantity 6,000. Variation in quantity +/- 10%. Offerors are advised that the Government intends to evaluate offers and award on an all or none award basis. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer represents the best value to the government. A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer will be mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party.
