Tungsten Cubes and Hexes The 96 Contracting Squadron, 96 CONS/MSCB at Eglin AFB, Florida intends to solicit and award a Firm-Fixed Price contract for various tungsten cubes and hexes, as described below. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a quotation is being requested, and a written request for quotation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ) F1TBAM8036A001. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 331492, with a small business standard size of 750 employees. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard. This requirement is for the following: CLIN 0001: (68) kg, Tungsten cubes, 6 millimeter, Heat Treated, in accordance with following specifications: Material shall contain a minimum of 91% tungsten sintered with nickel and Iron. Material shall not contain cobalt. Part shall be cube shaped between the limits of 6.20 mm and 5.80 mm in lengthen for each side. Method of heat treating is at the discretion of the vendor, however, heat treat processing documentation shall accompany the order. Crush test results shall be provided for at least 5 sample parts. CLIN 0002: (26) kg, Tungsten hexes, 6 x 3.45 x 3.12 millimeter, Heat Treated, in accordance with following specifications: Material shall contain a minimum of 91% tungsten sintered with nickel and Iron. Material shall not contain cobalt. Overall length of the tapered hex shape shall be between 6.20 mm and 5.80 mm from the large and small hexagonal ends. The large end of the tapered hex shall be between the limits of size of 3.58 mm and 3.32 mm between the flats of the hexagonal shape. The small end of the tapered hex shall be between the limits of size of 3.25 mm and 3.00 mm between the flats of the hexagonal shape. Method of heat treating is at the discretion of the vendor, however, heat treat processing documentation shall accompany the order. Crush test results shall be provided for at least 5 sample parts. CLIN 0003: (68) kg, Tungsten cubes, 6 millimeter, Not Heat Treated, in accordance with following specifications: Material shall contain a minimum of 91% tungsten sintered with nickel and Iron. Material shall not contain cobalt. Part shall be cube shaped between the limits of 6.20 mm and 5.80 mm in lengthen for each side. Crush test results for at least 5 sample parts shall accompany the order. CLIN 0004: (26) kg, Tungsten hexes, 6 x 3.45 x 3.12 millimeter, Not Heat Treated, in accordance with following specifications: Material shall contain a minimum of 91% tungsten sintered with nickel and Iron. Material shall not contain cobalt. Overall length of the tapered hex shape shall be between 6.20 mm and 5.80 mm from the large and small hexagonal ends. The large end of the tapered hex shall be between the limits of size of 3.58 mm and 3.32 mm between the flats of the hexagonal shape. The small end of the tapered hex shall be between the limits of size of 3.25 mm and 3.00mm between the flats of the hexagonal shape.
