Request For Quotes: AG-0116-S-06-0065 Stockpiled Aggregate Production This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued; however, associated documents including supplemental specifications, drawings, and special contract requirements will be incorporated into any resultant award and should be reviewed prior to submitting a quote. These documents are available under the same RFQ number elsewhere in FedBizOpps and posted concurrent with this notice. Quotes may be submitted via email to [email protected] or via fax to 907.228.6241 not later than close of business, September 28, 2006. The following Federal Acquisition Regulation clauses are incorporated by reference: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items; 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders (the following clauses are checked as included: 52.219-3, 52.222-26; 52.222-35; 52.222-36; 52.222-37; 52.225-3 and 52.232-33). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-12. Any contract resulting from this combined synopsis/solicitation will be a supply contract subject to the terms and conditions as stated above. The Tongass National Forest wishes to acquire between 5,000 and 10,000 cubic yards of aggregate production (crushed rock) for stockpiling at each of two locations on Prince of Wales Island, Southeast Alaska. The quarry sources, if the selected contractor elects to utilize the existing rock sources shown on the drawings, will also be the stockpile sites. All work including mobilization of equipment associated with providing the stockpiled rock will be incidental to payment for the rock on a cubic yard basis. The work includes certification for quality & quantity, quality control, and quantity measurement including sampling, testing, equipment, personnel, and inspection necessary to meet product requirements. Stock Pile Locations and Quantities (Notes: (1) Only one item will be awarded at each stockpile location. (2) All units are cubic yards. (3) Quoters may use the Schedule posted with the associated documents elsewhere on FedBizOpps for ease of submission.) POLK STOCKPILE AREA: Item 32052A Aggregate base, Grading: C, Stockpile; Quantity: 5,000. Item 32052B Aggregate base, Grading: C, Stockpile; Quantity: 7,500; Item 32052C Aggregate base Grading: C, Stockpile; Quantity: 10,000. NAUKATI/NECK LAKE STOCKPILE AREA: Item 32052A Aggregate base, Grading: C, Stockpile; Quantity: 5,000; Item 32052B Aggregate base, Grading: C, Stockpile; Quantity: 7,500; Item 32052C Aggregate base, Grading: C, Stockpile; Quantity: 10,000. Aggregate production and all incidental work shall be in accordance with the Standard Specifications for the Construction of Roads and Bridges on Federal Highway Projects, FP-03 which is included by reference in its entirety and supplemental specifications available for review elsewhere in FedBizOpps.
