Purpose of the Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (FAA AMS) paragraph 3.2.2.4, to inform industry on the basis of the FAA's decision to contact with a selected source via single source procedures. In accordance with AMS Policy 3.2.1.3.11.2, all procurements of products available from Federal Prison Industries (FPI) anticipated to exceed $10,000 must be publicly announced on the internet or through other means, including procurements where FPI products are determined not to be the best value to FAA at the market survey stage. The FAA, William J Hughes Technical Center intends to award a single source contract to UNICOR. The furniture is currently being used by the FAA to support their requirements and therefore unable to obtain through any other known source.
