This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
The Army Contracting Command-New Jersey, Emerging Technologies Contracting Center (ACC-NJ-ET), Benet Laboratories (BL), Watervliet Arsenal, NY on behalf of the US Army Armament Research Development & Engineering Center (ARDEC), BL is seeking capability statements from firms that can provide Software Support/ Maintenance, additional seats, and training for the CAPPS NC on Machine Probing, Inspection and Alignment software currently in use at Benet Laboratories to include but not limited to: CAPPS NC 3 axis probing, inspection and alignment. The software/maintenance shall include at a minimum the following: all CAPPS NC updates, bug-fixes, patches, telephone technical support, upgrades of the current CAPPS NC software and training. Software support/maintenance should be made available and downloadable via the internet. This proposed contract action requires the contractor to supply CAPPS NC software applications.
This notice is open to all business concerns; however, the government intends to evaluate and award BPAs to small business concerns. In the event that there are not enough responses from small businesses the government will consider awarding to large business concerns. The Government may enter into one or multiple Blanket Purchase Agreements as a result of this notice per FAR 8.405-3. TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Firms/companies are invited to indicate their interest by providing a description of their capabilities along with specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, information pertaining to experience on previous contracts for similar supplies/services and other technical data. Provide Past Performance information or lack thereof showing prior commercial experience and/or prior service for the Government in the service described above. The Government will accept written questions by email only. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to this requirement no later than the closing time/date of this announcement, 18 January 2013, 4PM EST.
