â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢The 2003 National Mine Rescue, First Aid, Bench and Preshift Contest will be held at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center on September 15-19, 2003. We will need field layouts requiring the following; however, exact numbers may vary depending on the problems and will be determined at a later date.

Additional miscellaneous items may be needed based on determinations in July. Field personnel will be in the South Wing on Saturday and Sunday,
September 13-14, to measure and mark corner locations on the floor for each layout. On Sunday morning, your personnel will begin working and placing the tubing and drapes at areas which we will designate. Setup in the Lobby, Concourse, Registration Area and South Wing Conference Center must be complete prior to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. All setup in South Wing must be complete prior to 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bench and First Aid Contests will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Monday in the South Wing Conference Center. The Mine Rescue Contest will begin at 8:00 a.m. on September 16-18, in the South Wing.
After the dayâs events on September 16-18, minor changes will be necessary in the field (drapery) configurations located in the South Wing. Exact sketches of each dayâs drapery layout will be provided prior to the Contest. You must provide personnel to complete such changes at the conclusion of each dayâs events. After the dayâs events on September 18, the South Wing will be reset for a Preshift Contest which will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, September 19.
Dismantling of the South Wing fields may begin at the completion of the Contest on Friday, September 19, which is usually between 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
We do not have the space leased on Saturday, September 20; therefore, all material must be removed from the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center by 4:00 p.m. on Friday unless you work out other arrangements with KFEC personnel.
