EXCELSIOR BALES – 140 tons needed TYPE - Excelsior need to be manufactured to be less curly than standard excelsior. Bales to be less compacted than standard bales. Bales should weigh approximately 50 pounds. These bales will be used as erosion control in the Missionary Ridge Fire burned area in the Vallecito Reservoir area. DELIVERY SITE – North end of Vallecito Reservoir, at the end of Hummingbird Lane. REQUIRED DELIVERY DATES – Desired delivery would be - 30 Tons delivered by May 12, 2003, and regular deliveries thereafter so that all 140 tons are delivered by May 23, 2003. Delivery on flat bed trailers is preferred, but not required. Contractors should propose delivery dates and schedule that closely match the desired delivery.
