It is the intent of this agency to award a sole source contract under statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1), set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Contractor will provide the following classes: Line Item 0001: Installation, Operation and Maintenance Training. The class will accommodate 12 students, and will take place at JCSE, MacDill AFB, FL, from 25-29 Sep 06. JCSE will provide classroom and facilities management support. Line Item 0002: Advance Hub Operator Training Remote Troubleshooting. The class will accommodate 12 students, and will take place at JCSE, MacDill AFB, FL, from 2 - 6 Oct 06. JCSE will provide classroom and facilities management support. JCSE requires the purchase of iDirect IOM training in support of the element?s IP implementation. This training is required to install, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot the equipment. Technical interface specifications are company owned. The M&C Control function is based upon the management software developed solely by iDirect and contains iDirect proprietary data. iDirect is the sole developer and distributor of the software used to IOM the modems. iDirect is the only vendor that provides this training. The proprietary packet structure and handling is unique to iDirect equipment. This agency intends to award to iDirect technologies, 13865 Sunrise Valley Dr, Herndon, VA.
