Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Newport, RI intends to acquire from McCormick Selph, Inc. on a sole-source basis (100) one-hundred each Igniters, Torpedo MK54 per drawing provided as Attachment #1 to the solicitation. McCormick Selph, Inc. is the manufacturer of the igniter and is the only known company that can perform the modification to the existing igniter. Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13 Simplified Acquision Procedures and FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial items will be utilized for this acquisition. The estimated RFQ release date is 06 Aug 2002 and responses are due 15 days afterward. Delivery will be FOB destination, Keyport, WA, 180 days after contract award.
