The National Cemetery Administration is soliciting offers under Solicitation No. VA-786-06-RP-0115 for the following supply item: The contractor shall be required to complete and deliver marble niche inscriptions to Great Lakes National Cemetery, Grand Mall and Office Center, Suite 400, 12765 S. Saginaw Street Grand Blanc, MI 48439 from October 1, 2006 with three twelve-month option periods thereafter. An estimated combined total of 1,150 inscriptions will be acquired during the life of contract. Inscription work shall not be performed at the cemetery.  The contractor shall be responsible for:  blank marble niche pick-up from Great Lakes National Cemetery, packaging sufficiently to prevent damage during shipment and handling, inscribing, and returning marble niche covers to the Great Lakes National Cemetery. The cemetery is responsible only for making available the blank niche covers to the contractor and is not responsible for packaging the blank niche covers. The contractor should ensure that blank niche cover pickups from the cemetery occur on a regular basis to ensure the contractor always has on hand a sufficient amount of blank marble niche covers in order to complete and deliver all inscription work within the twenty calendar day deadline required by this contract. Great Lakes National Cemetery will require (17) types of inscriptions. Evaluation criteria for this award will be in the following order: 1) Past Performance, 2) Technical Qualifications, 3) Price.
