The Utah National Guard, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order on a sole source basis to Raytheon Company, Fullerton, CA 92883 for 4 each Raytheon MicroLight Radio RT-1922 P/N 6138790-100.
The Raytheon Enhanced Position Location and Reporting System (EPLRS) MicroLight Model RTC-1922 (G) radio assembly is an Ultra High Frequency (UHF) Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) software defined radio. It will provide JTAC connectivity via Situational Awareness Data Link (SADL) in order to avoid fratricide in the Battlefield by more than 80 percent. The MicroLight will be integrated with the existing MTS systems.
Raytheon-Thales Tactical Communications Systems West (TCS-West) is the only manufacturer and reseller of the RTC-I922 (C) (G) and specific ancillaries. This RTC-1922 (C) (G) is a fielded item and no other substitute is available.
