This publication serves as a notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract, with Simrad Inc. to provide one of each of the following: 38kHz split beam General Purpose Transceiver (GPT), part number EK6-202589; ES38-12, 38 kHz split beam, 7x7 degrees, 30m cable, part number KSV-111497; Laptop Processor, incl. EK60 and B1500 software, laptop includes CD burner, YSI/Endeco 4' Tow body w/mount for ES38-12 Towbody weight 28# w/o transducer, with 15m wire; additional split beam cable with mating connectors; and two Amphenol connectors. This equipment will be used to conduct large-scale marine surveys. The data generated must be compatible with Simrad transducers. The government intends to award a firm fixed priced contract.
