The United States Army Program Manager Solider Equipment (PMSEQ) is requesting information regarding the manufacture of SiC ceramic tile. Information requested includes vendor capabilities and limitations with regard to the production of SiC tiles, t o include material capabilities, place of manufacture, source of materials, proven production capacity and surge rate, as well as all known interoperability issues with all equipment currently used by US Army. Additionally, information regarding vendors products currently in production is also requested. Tiles must meet Enhanced Small Arms Protective Inserts (ESAPI) dimensional requirements. This sources sought is for information and planning purposes only, does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) , and is not to be construed as a commitment by the U. S. Government. The Government implies no intention or opportunity to acquire funding to support current or future development efforts. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicit ation notice will be published. No award will be made as a result of this sources sought. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government and is for informational purposes only. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input as a result of this sources sought.
