The purpose of this contract is to commission the design and carving of a 12 foot 7 inch traditional totem pole depicting the past and present Forest Service and Southeast Alaska Native history and partnerships which convey the theme of the Civilian Conservation Corps Totem Pole Restoration Project, 1939-1953. The project area is located on Ketchikan, Southeast Alaska. Ketchikan is accessible via Commercial Airlines and Alaska Marine Highway System. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps website on or about December 23, 2004 for viewing and printing. Potential offerors are requested to obtain the solicitation from the Internet if at all possible. Alternatively, a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests should reference solicitation KTN-05-10. Telephone requests will not be honored. Offers will be due approximately 20 calendar days after the solicitation issue date.
