This announcement constitutes a sources sought synopsis for purposes of conducting market research. Market Research is being conducted to seek qualified contractors with the skills, knowledge, and resources required to complete this effort. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. The 309the Software Maintenance Wing (SMXG) is conducting market research to determine the existence of potential sources to provide experienced services for A-10 Avionics Software Support. The scope of this requirement is to provide experienced phone support, design and development of software, experienced engineering consultation, and testing of software for A-10 aircraft computer systems in support of the organic OFP team at Hill AFB. The information in this notice is based on the best and most current information available to date. This information is subject to change and is not binding to the Government. The Government shall not reimburse the costs of preparing responses to this request for information. The Ogden Air Logistics Center Contracting Directorate (AFMC), Hill Air Force Base (AFB), Utah, intends to issue a formal RFP in September 2012 timeframe for the acquisition of the subject services. The estimated contract period is 1 December 2012 through November 30 2015 with the workload transitioning to organic by the end of the contract. The successful contractor shall provide experienced A-10 Avionics sustainment support for the following computer systems: Operational Test Program (OTP) and related Off Line Help (Portable Automated Test Station), Improved Electronics Processor Unit (IEPU), Windows (Turbine Engine Monitoring System/Airborne Data Recorder) Support Software (WINTASS), Real-Time Engine data Viewer (RTEDV), Situational Awareness Data Link Media Access Control (MAC) Adaptive Playback Application (SMAP). Support shall be required of the successful contractor on the first day of the period of performance start date. The successful contractor shall assist the government engineering team in the procurement, configuration, setup and operation of A-10 computer system components (software licenses and computer systems) in order for the government engineers to establish the sustainment capability for the systems. The NAICS code for this requirement is 541330, if another NAICS code is found to better suit this effort then it shall be included.
