The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to conduct negotiations on a sole source basis with the University of Pittsburgh for a modification to Contract 200-2005-12910 entitled "Development of Biomechanical Model of Knee to Reduce Knee Injuries in Mining". The objective of the modification is to enhance the usefulness of the results from the work of the base contract through literature reviews, videotapes of miners at work sites, and development of work posture analyses.
