The Department of Veterans Affairs Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System, Little Rock, Arkansas, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with The Virtual Reality Medical Center, San Diego, CA to furnish a Development of standardized VR scenarios - this includes developing the civilian scenario, military scenario, and the integration software. The civilian and military scenarios will include animation, 3D modeling, and programming. The integration module will include sound, programming, software packaging and operating manual for Research. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 541720 and the small business size standard is $6.5. The Virtual Reality Medical Center is classified as a small business concern and is the sole distributor for this equipment. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Office within ten (10) calendar days from the date of publication of this notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements.
