The National Geospatial - Intelligence Agency (NGA) intends to issue a contract to Stanford University, 450 Serra Mal Stanford University Stanford, CA 94305, for the services and materials to support the delivery of a new cold atom interferometry (CAI) gravity gradiometer prototype. This effort will provide a new high-sensitivity full tensor system. The contractor shall provide iterative sensor development on the current sensor to provide greater sensitivity, upgrade the current sensor platform to accommodate the revised sensor, and integrate the sensor and platform into a mobile platform.
The period of performance for this effort shall be an estimate of two years.
The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals or capability statements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals/capability statements received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
