The Navys Cryogenic Exploitation of Radio Frequency Laboratory has interest in High Temperature Superconducting (HTS) Superconducting Quantum Interference Device (SQUID) arrays and devices for use in electromagnetic detection in the radio frequency regime, and is looking for potential sources of HTS based circuitry and required supporting system expertise for future U.S. Navy programs. Accordingly, we are attempting to determine the current and future availability of complex HTS SQUID array chips. Please note that this information will be kept as confidential and, if marked Proprietary, will not be released to any persons or entities outside the U.S. Government. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Navy is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondees are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested partys expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website (https://www.fbo.gov/) and the SPAWAR E-Commerce Central website at (https://e- commerce.sscno.nmci.navy.mil/). It is the responsibility of the respondents to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this requirement. Attachment: Please see attached RFI document. Information Statements in Microsoft Word or PDF compatible format are due no later than 23 December 2013, 4:00 P.M. PST. Responses shall be limited to 20 pages and submitted via e-mail only to [email protected]. All data received in response to this RFI that is marked or designated as corporate or proprietary information will be fully protected from release outside the government. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned.
