NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE IS AVAILABLE. The SCIREQ Scientific flexiVent system obtains reproducible measurements and requires fewer subjects to achieve statistical significance. It is regulatory requirement that the Government use the minimum numbers of research animal subjects possible while achieving statistical significance. The FlexiVent system provided by SCIREQ Scientific Inc., meets the range of respiratory mechanics measurements used in mice, and the NHGRI requires a comprehensive system with capabilities to assess large numbers of mouse models of cardiac and pulmonary disease. Therefore, it is to the Government's best interest to purchase a system that will quantitatively assess changes in the lung mechanics of genetically engineered mouse models of cardiac and pulmonary disease.
