The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia intends to award a cost reimbursement plus fixed fee type contract to a qualified offeror for the project entitled Longitudinal Epidemiologic Study to Gain Insight into HIV and AIDS in Children and Youth (LEGACY). The contractor will be required to establish and oversee the administrative, data collection, and data managemnet aspects of a longitudinal research study with informed consent of HIV infected children and HIV-infected adolescents who are followed in pediatric or adolescentmedicine HIV specialty clincs throughout the United States. This will be done in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC); the CDC will be responsible for the protocol development, design of the initial data entry screens; and in collaboration with the Scientific Execuive Committee, consisting of the CDC Project Officer, the Contractor and the site Primary Investigators, for the analysis, publication and disseminationof project results. The research objectives of the LEGACY project are to conduct on-going real-time medical record and data abstraction at clinician’s opffices as the research framework. The date specified for receipt of offers will be approximately 30 days after the solicitation issue date, on or about June 15, 2004. The solicitation issuance date will be on or about May 12, 2004. The performance period under this contract will be three years from date of contract award. All responsible offers may submit a proposal, that will be considered by the agency.
