The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), National Institute of Health (NIH), intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Cyngus Corporation, 5640 Nicholson Lane, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20850 under the Authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1), as set forth in FAR 6.302-1 (b) (1) (i), Unique Capabilities, for a modification to contract number N01-AI-05422 to extend the performance period to continue coverage of activities under the existing contract. The current contract expires on September 20, 2007 and will be extended through April 30, 2008. If there are responsible sources who feel that they are able to perform the requirement, they must respond by submitting the information required by Numbered Note 22 on/before the closing date noted in this announcement. Offeror's who submit capability statements must demonstrate their ability to assume the work without undue interruption to the support currently being provided to the NIAID and without unnecessary duplication of cost and effort.
