The Rapid Spacecraft Development Office (RSDO) Rapid Spacecraft Acquisition (RAPIDIII) is a multiple award, IDIQ, Fixed Price type contract, for satellite bus core systemswith any necessary modifications to meet specific Mission needs. The scope of the workincludes design and development of the spacecraft, integration of Government providedscientific instruments, spacecraft/observatory integration and test, shipment ofobservatory to launch site, observatory launch support, on-orbit checkout of observatory,and on-orbit operations as required. Periodically, within the contracts effective ordering period, the Contracting Officerwill accept and evaluate proposals with the intention of adding contracts and/ormodifying existing contracts to place additional core spacecraft and options in the RapidIII Catalog. This will be done via On-Ramps. On-Ramp 2 for the Rapid III contract is hereby opened to receive offers from vendors forthe Rapid III contract. Proposals for On-Ramp 2 will be accepted by the RSDO ContractingOfficer through April 25, 2012.
