The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) proposes to enter into a sole source contract entitled "Purdue University Multi-Dimensional Integral Test Assembly (PUMA) ESBWR Tests" with Purdue University to provide testing, data collection, and technical support to the NRC. The period of performance is sixteen months. The PUMA test facility at Purdue University is the only operational facility in the country that has "boiling water reactor (BWR)-relevant" systems to produce thermal-hydraulic (T/H) data for ESBWR (a new type of BWR)applications.
