NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) intends to issue a Request for Proposal(RFP) for Radial Thrusters for the Magnetospheric Multiscale (MMS) Project. The scope ofwork for this procurement entails the Contractor providing the facilities, personnel,services, tools, equipment, and materials for a delta qualification program followed byan option for flight thrusters in accordance with the Radial Thruster Statement of Work,Specification, and Deliverable Items List and Schedule, which will be provided withissuance of the RFP.This procurement will be a full and open competition. NASA/GSFC anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed-Price type contract for this effort with ananticipated award date on or about October/November 2009.The Government does not intend to acquire commercial items using FAR Part 12.
