Air Force Research Laboratory, Materials and Manufacturing Directorate (AFRL/MLK) solicits research proposals on Robust Composites. The objective is to develop and demonstrate a Ceramic Matrix Composite (CMC) that functions for 1000 hours between room temperature and at least 1200?C in oxidizing atmospheres typical for a turbine engine. Demonstration shall be accomplished by generation of a mechanical properties database.
