The METOC Systems Program Manager, PMW 155, his staff and other offices at SPAWARSYSCOM need an independent, objective, technical assessment of the nuclear, chemical, biological and radiological (NCBR) contaminants to support of integrated modeling and simulation for Joint and Air Force Chemical and Biological Defensive Assessments. The NCBR contaminants assessed must constitute the most debilitating saltwater-borne threats to U.S. Naval forces; the sensors that can detect these waterborne NCBR contaminants; and, the inventory of operational and quasi-operational shallow saltwater particulate dispersion models. The identified sensors and models could become candidates for eventual use by the Department of Defense to detect NCBR contaminants in shallow saltwater domains and predict the transport and fates of these toxic contaminants for Force Protection and Consequence Management purposes.
