NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE SPECIALIZED BIOCHEMICAL ASSAYS The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center Research Department in Ann Arbor, Michigan intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to the University of Michigan for research specialized biochemical assays upon the basis of the authority provided in 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and implemented by FAR 6.302-1. This procurement is being conducted under NAICS 541990 in the aggregate value of $288,398.40 over a base year and of four one-year optional renewal years if exercised at the Government's discretion. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement by 10:00 AM EST, 4 March 2015, by e-mail to [email protected]. A determination by the Government not to compete the contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
