The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, has a requirement for a baseline observational research study of police officers. The study will focus on thorough measurements of (1) physiological stress and (2) subclinical morbidities underlying the insulin resistance and coronary syndromes as well as subclinical vascular abnormalities. For this study, the successful offeror must have an already established cohort of police officers from a single urban/suburban municipality. The offeror must be able to document a recent and successful record of recruitment, measurement, analysis, and publication involving a scientific study of this cohort.
