NASA/GRC has a requirement to test machined creep specimens according to ASTM E 139. See the attached statement of work for Superalloy (Mar-M247 and Rene 95 type disk superalloy) to be tested. NASA-GRC has $65,000. available for the testing. This procurement is requesting companies to submit a quote for the total number of specimens that can be tested in accordance with the statement of work for a total cost not to exceed $65,000. The contractor shall include a breakdown of both the setup charge and hourly test charge. At least 6 creep frames would be needed available for immediate test commencements at the beginning of the contract. The two machined specimen configurations to be tested are attached. The specimens shall be delivered to NASA-GRC 2 weeks after the completion of the testing as described in the statement of work.
