In preparation for the projected September, 2007 release of the Small Explorers (SMEX) Announcement of Opportunity, the Goddard Space Flight Center expects to release Partnering Opportunity Documents (PODs) to establish partnerships with spacecraft and instrument providers. Current plans call for a single spacecraft POD to be released that will have specific technical requirements called out for several spacecraft options. Providers will be allowed to respond to any number of the spacecraft options. Instrument PODs will be released on an individual basis. PODs expected to be released within the next week.
