This is a Sources Sought Posting is to help identifiy potential and eligible contractors interested in performing military police-initiated impoundment which includes the towing, removal, storage, and disposal of abandoned and unclaimed vehicles located on Eielson AFB (EAFB) installation property.
OFFERS OR PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. THIS IS NOT A PRESOLICITATION OR SOLICITATION. ADDITIONALLY, THIS NOTICE DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO AWARD A CONTRACT OR MULTIPLE CONTRACTS, AND IT DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY FOR ANY BID AND/OR PROPOSAL PREPERATION COSTS. ALL COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH RESPONDING TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT WILL BE SOLEY AT THE INTERESTED PARTY'S EXPENSE.
Performance of transportation and warehousing services by the Contractor shall be provided at no cost to the Government. In the event an abandoned vehicle is deemed unclaimed, the vehicle becomes the property of the Contractor to be disposed of, in accordance with 10 USC 2575, as payment for all towing and storage fees, and sale costs.
The Contractor shall own towing vehicle(s) or heavy duty wrecker(s) and all associated equipment required to facilitate moving, transporting, and storing all types of motorized vehicles, including but not limited to large trucks, recreational vehicles, and trailers. The Contractor shall store impounded vehicles in a secure location on the Contractor’s property until which time vehicles are to be disposed of in accordance with local, state, and federal laws. It is the sole responsibility of all Interested Parties to register for notification updates to any and all subject documents for the said action. All contractors MUST be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database when responding to the future solicitation or their offer will not be considered.
