The General Services Administration (GSA), Federal Acquisition Service (FAS), Assisted Acquisition Services Division (AASD) has received a requirement from the US Army Research Laboratory (ARL) located in Aberdeen Proving Ground Maryland for a commercially modified microprocessor. This is a notice of intent that GSA anticipates issuing a solicitation in support of ARL. The attached Bill of Material (BOM) provides the design and build of the microprocessor. The delivery for this request shall be within 180 Days after Receipt of order. 

 

The proposed contract action is for design and build microprocessor for which the Government intends to solicit sole source to Adapteva, Inc., Cage Code 56BD9, 20 Ward Street, Lexington, MA, 02421, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a )(2) because Adapteva Inc. is the manufacturer of the product and is the only known company that can design and build this microprocessor as well as Adapteva does not have distributors nor resellers for this product. .  RFQ will be issued to the sole source contractor by the Contracting Officer.

 

Questions regarding this synopsis must be submitted in writing via email to the below identified issuing office point of contact no later than the 11:00 am Monday October 03, 2016, EST. Oral communication is not accepted on this notice of intent. No other communications, whether oral or in writing, will modify or supersede the terms of this synopsis document.

 

The proposed contract action for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a )(2). This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes.  However, any party that believes it is capable of meeting the requirements stated in the attached technical requirements document may submit a written capability statement that clearly supports their ability to deliver the required services.  Capability statements shall be received no later than the response date and time of this notice.  Submissions will be reviewed to determine if they can meet the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed task order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
