The US Army Contracting Command - New Jersey, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the U.S Army Armament Research Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC), is seeking companies capable of provide support for warhead research, development, system integration, and production. The warheads shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following components: A housing (typically made out of metal) for confining the explosion or containing the explosive; a metal liner (typically made out of tantalum, copper, or steel) to form the penetrator; an explosive billet (typically LX-14 or 70/30 Octol) to convert chemical energy into kinetic energy for the purpose of forming the liner into a penetrator; a booster (typically made out of PBXN-5) and an EBW to initiate the main explosive.
Firms/companies are invited to indicate their capabilities by providing specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, demonstration video, etc. and provide information of previous experience related to this type of work.
